Sara Llort

Director of Finance and Administration

Sara is an experienced CFO/ General Secretary, leading global Support Services (Finance, Administration - HR, IT &Legal) as well as Governance in international organisations. After 12 successful years at EY (Ernst & Young) as a financial auditor managing international clients and teams, Sara brought her experience to the non-governmental sector taking up a number of key executive roles.

Applying her in depth knowledge of finance and administration , Sara has helped direct and guide organisations to fulfil their mission and achieving their vision by providing both operational and strategic support at every level. Sara has also acted as an architect of organizational transformation by effectively introducing and applying new operational, executive and governance models. Recently Sara added to her management skills by completing a professional coaching certification in Switzerland.

Background

After obtaining a degree in Master of Business and Administration, Sara began her career at Ernst and Young (E&Y) in Paris, as financial auditor. During 12 years of audit and consulting, she focused on operational finance and project management with a risk-based approach. She helped strengthen the organizations’ structure and internal control environments. She also dedicated herself to internal Learning and Development (L&D) projects as well as management of diverse international team. Sara supported updates of L&D programs and facilitated European technical and management trainings and ran a study on Women Career promotion at EY.

Sara then decided to move from the corporate sector to the world of NGOs and joined the World YWCA, an organisation focused on the Leadership of Young Women, as director of Operations (finance, administration & governance) and later acted as interim general secretary: amongst other task, she organized the internal control environment to improve the global accountability addressing the ever-growing requests of stakeholders. Within the framework of restructuring, she piloted the change management system and the update of the vision, mission and values.

More recently, Sara was the international CFO/General Secretary of Aide et Action International, an organization leading education projects worldwide. She monitored the optimization of resources and procedures and supported the transformation of the organization.
